Wedding season! Actually, I don't know what or when wedding season is...I just know I'm getting married in approximately 11 weeks! (*breath*) So though I'm not personally going to be 'married in ModCloth' I defiantly considered it. I have however, on multiple occasions bought ModCloth dresses to wear as a wedding guest.  So today I'll be sharing with you 3 of my favorite things from ModCloth's wedding collection. Okay so, I really want this Gilded Grace Dress in Champagne so bad!! It'd be perfect to wear to your bridal shower or your wedding. It's so so pretty!

This Setting the Scene Dress is perfect to wear to a wedding. I try to stick to patterns and prints when I attend weddings, so I don't accidentally match the bridesmaids. (Unless you know the bride well and can coordinate beforehand.)

These Soft Step Heels are so delicate and pretty. If I could wear heels I would want to wear some like these for my wedding.

I have returned to the world of outfit photos. Yes, I know some of these photos are blurry, but I shot them yesterday morning before work, the first day after daylight savings time. I don't know what I was thinking. This is an outfit I feel very myself in. Big boots, fake leather jacket, cute dress/shirt, and leggings. Very me. I have awesome really great videos planned for this month and I am filming twice as many as I am planning to post. I want to have enough saved up so that once May comes I don't have to worry about my channel at the same time as my wedding. I might do the same with this blog but I'm not sure yet. So much to do.

Atraielees V.2

I found more Cats makeup photos! I know last year I said I had posted them all but I actually had forgotten a few that were on a different hard drive. The first is Atraielees version two. If you remember, Atraielees was my original Cats character and my first ever online 'persona'/username. She's the daughter of the characters Mistoffelees and Jemima. My first time trying out her makeup I made her a bit too gray and she actually has more blue in her coat. I could only find this one photo on my hard drive but let me know what you think of her!

Self-Care 101

It's so easily forgotten, amidst the ever growing wedding to-do lists and the increasing demand of work, the need to take care of oneself. This is a lesson I have learned over and over again, when without fail I get sick during times of stress and have a nervous aversion to taking a 'mental health day.' Yet as time goes on and as my life is coming to a busy peek (wedding in 11 weeks!) I find myself unable to ignore it any longer, I need to take care of myself.

Even the simple daily things I should be doing (eating healthy, exercising, flossing, etc.) are not always given priority in my increasingly fast paced life. I know that come June things will slow down (in a big way) but till then I can't forget to listen to my body and treat it right.

So, as many before me have, I will turn to my blog as public accountability and help with habit forming. Rather than come up with strict rules and ultimatums, I will check in with you (my dear readers) and let you know how I am. I will no longer look at this blog as another to-do that gets forgotten and only used to post my videos. (which gets forgotten less, tbh) Though look forward to a video on fashion and a video on wedding planning this week! Here are my reminders, not goals:

• Get back to using my elliptical regularly.
• Treat my skin with more respect.
• Read more.
• Don't forget to eat and also don't eat too much.
• Meditate (breath deep, push away stress)
• Generally calm down, you can't do everything you want to and that's okay.

So I hope I will not forget, in the months to come, to take care of myself in the simplest ways, to listen to my body, and to know and believe that I am deserve to treat myself right. Disneyland Costumes ft. Courtoon

Company D is the discounted Disneyland merchandise store for cast members. Recently they had a sale on old parade and show costumes. So Courtney and I did a fashion show!

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season One

The first season of BuffyDoodles is done! I thought I'd share with you all of the doodles in one post. Season one is only 12 episodes so if I continue to do this the rest will be much much bigger. So if you have not already, follow BuffyDoodles on Tumblr to get a new doodle a day, or follow me on DeviantArt, where I'll be posting each doodle (on no real schedule).

For the first episode I used colored pencils and made it an actual drawing but after that I stuck to just to pure random doodling. This first season I tried to draw Buffy's hair style each episode in addition to other things.  I'm curious to see if you are watching along what you think of the references.

Videos About Work - hiimrawn

Awe, look at my face, that was almost the thumbnail of my latest video. The video was a bit spur-of-the-moment and not what I was planning to upload today, but last wednesday I took some footage at a party thrown by co-worker and felt this video needed to be made. I don't talk about my job too much on my YouTube channel, which is I guess odd since my job is so closely tied to YouTube. However, it's for that very reason that I don't. I don't want to be known as the 'vlogger who works at Maker' I want to be known as 'a creative interesting person' on her own. I could easily exploit the Maker fans and and make my job the selling point for my viewers but I don't want to do that.

I've also been weary of people (YouTubers) that only seem to give me the time of day once I tell them my occupation. ('Oh her channel's not much, only 1k subscribers, but she works at Maker so she's one of us.') Sure, that may not be the case at all and I could just be letting my anxiety get the best of me, but I didn't work at Maker I wonder who would still answer my emails. (Hopefully all! I want to be wrong about this!)

That's one reason why having work friends is nice, they care about where you work because they work there too. Last Wednesday was my friend Rawn's last day of work at Maker, so he threw a party. I'm gonna miss seeing him around the office but I know he'll be fine wherever life takes him. So here's a video from last week, in which I talk about work for a bit, but mostly urge you to go watch the awesome music video he let me be in...back in the good ol' days.

Blind Box Unboxing - Nightmare Before Christmas Mystery Minis Vinyl Figures

My life has been extremely busy as of late but I promise there are wedding related posts and outfit posts, and more on the way. In the mean time today I want to share a video I put up on my second channel. It's nothing much, but at work recently we have been learning the growing popularity of toy unboxing videos, especially blind box type videos. So I bought one and made a video just see what the big deal was. If I get some commenters I don't recognize then I'll do some more research on video tropes I'm not used to making. In fact, I think that's what I'll start using my second channel for in addition to unedited vlogs. So, if you wanna know what vinyl figure I got, check out the video below.

The Geeky Bride

This was going to be a blog post but then I got the idea that it would make an interesting video blog series. So here you are, The Geeky Bride, a series about wedding planning for the off-beat/rock-n-roll bride type. That's me. Buffy Doodles

I've been absent from my blog for a bit due to wedding planning mostly. I have been also working on getting a few projects going as well and one if them is finally ready! Buffy Doodles! So, I started a re-watch of Buffy the Vampire slayer at the end of 2013. Jim had never seen it before. Then we got distracted by Angel (he liked it a tad better) so we did not get back to Buffy till mid 2014. As we watched each and every episode, I did a drawing...more like a doodle, something from the episode or just random designs. I am now going to release each doodle (every day, probably) on my new Tumblr account: Buffy Doodles. So give it a follow if you're a Buffy fan and share with me your own Buffy Doodles as well!
