Studio Ghibli Museum - Japan Day 10

One of my favorite days in Japan was when we went to the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka. We were not allowed to take photos inside, so all of these are of the exterior. It was such a magical place. We got to see a short film about sumo wrestler mice, there was a huge cat bus that kids could play in, and the building it's self was so beautiful with it's winding stairways and it's stain glass windows with all the Ghibli characters hidden inside. If I'm ever in Japan, I think I'd like to come back to the Studio Ghibli Museum.

  

The Last 'Un-Planned' Day - Japan Day 9

On February 11th, our 9th day in Japan, we tried to go to the fish market. It unfortunately was closed, so we had a few unplanned adventures instead. First we meet up with my cousin Adam again and decided it would be a good idea to check out the Tokyo Sky Tree. Well we checked out the gift shop but the line for actually going up the Sky Tree was longer than we were willing to wait. We walked around outside for a bit, found a boat themed playground, and eventually made our way to the Asahi Beer Headquarters where we stopped in for some day drinking. We ended the day shopping for souvenirs and presents for our family and friends.

Back to Tokyo - Japan Day 8

February 10th was our 8th day in Japan and we took it easy. In the morning Amy took us to an Australian restaurant for breakfast by a mall by a bay. Outside it was cold and there was snow on the sand and we took some pictures by these giant anchors. Later that night we meet up with our cousin Adam, who was staying in Japan for school. Adam is one of my Swedish cousins (Kavita's brother)  and he was studying Japanese in school. We had some pizza and beer at a cool place under train tracks and then we just wondered around for a bit.
