Photo an Hour: June 30th, 2016

Three years ago I did a project where I took a photo every hour of the day for one day a month. Last week felt like doing that again so I did! I'm not sure if I'll keep it up or not but I hope you enjoy my day!

7am // The rose bush outside our house is mostly dead (our neighbor doesn't take care of it so we might have to commandeer it...) but I found this little flower flourishing.

The final Photo an Hour post! I chose Christmas Eve since it is a special achievement. I don't think I'll be doing Photo an Hour next year but it was a fun project and I'm glad I completed it. Who knows what next year's photo project will be but I am excited to keep up the habit of taking more photos.

10am >> Enjoying my old backyard at my parents house.

 

11am >> Christmas eve brunch! Blueberry pancakes made by my dad.

12pm >> The view from my old bedroom window.

1pm >> The house is so pretty. I love these little Swedish Santas (I got some of my own for Christmas!)

2pm >> Making Christmas cookies with my mom.

3pm >> Cutting out cookies and watching The Fellowship of the Ring. True family bonding.

4pm >> Still watching Fellowship and it looks like the cookies are out of the oven.

5pm >> Fancy Christmas nails! Also, we frosted cookies. (Before I did my nails, obviously.)

6pm >> Still watching Fellowship. If you're watching The Lord of the Rings and it's not the extended edition, don't talk to me. (Also, bonus points if you know why Merry and Pippin look so shocked in this scene.)

7pm >> The best photos I could get of our tree.



After 7pm >> Jim picked me up and took me to his mom's family Christmas party. At this point I stopped taking hourly photos, but here's an Instragram shot of Jim and some of his cousins. (Just some!)

Photo an Hour >> November 30th

The very last day of November was during my Thanksgiving break. That means I slept in. It was not until after breakfast and lounging around for a while that I remembered this project. So, it start's a bit late in the day. Only one more month till this project's done!

12:00pm >> The beautiful poinsettia my mother gave me. It's a Christmas plant so hopefully I can keep it alive till then.

1:00pm >> It's after Thanksgiving so that means it time to get out the Christmas decorations!

2:00pm >> Just a little bit of cleaning and organizing.

3:00pm >> I found book of Christmas crafts from when I was a child, so I made a penguin!

4:00pm >> Watching bad Christmas movies and enjoying my pumpkin candle. (don't know why, but I love taking photos of candles)

5:00pm >> Measuring the ingredients for the pies I need to make. (I broke one of those pyrex dishes this morning, I'm so mad.)

6:00pm >> Time to start peeling apples! (I watched so many bad Christmas movies that day)

7:00pm >> Mmmmmmm.

8:00pm >> Cooking!


9:00pm >> Party time! 

Sometime after 10:00pm >> You know, that time of night. When you and your friends model all of your friend John's vests. He numbers them...

3:00pm >>Walking to Jim's car so we can do some shopping.

  
4:00pm >> At the Army Surplus store to get Jim his Allan/Indie hat.

6:00pm >> Little tiny pumpkins!
 
7:00pm >> Making dinner together.

What a simple yet exciting day! I love when weekends are both relaxing and productive. I hope you enjoyed the photos!

Photo an hour >> September 30th

I said I would not do it again but I have. I forgot this project till the last day of the month which happened to be a week day. However, since the last Photo an Hour I have moved to a different building at work so I have given you a bit of a tour. Enjoy!

8:00am >>  Just starting to put up some Halloween decorations.

 9:00am >> Here's my new desk. I actually sat here before I was moved to a different building, then yet another building. So this is like coming home in a way.

10:00am >> To my left is the animation room. I love how they decorate the walls with their characters.

11:00am >> We have a big rug! (If you could not guess where I work by now, here's a big hint.)

12:00pm >> These are in the kitchen. (If you did not get the previous hint, here's the actual name.)

1:00pm >> iPhone selfie. I like reading on my lunch break if I can.

2:00pm >> Decided to take you outside. Don't you just love this crazy tree?

3:00pm >> My Ikea candle looks like wine. (I wish!) 

4:50pm >> Still counts as 4, right? I have an excuse, there was a meeting in the other building across the street. I took this with my iPhone on the walk back.

5:00pm >> Yup, I took my sanding desk with me. Don't use it every day though...

6:00pm >> The big empty lot between the building and the parking structure.

7:00pm >> At home editing one of my own videos.

This was a pretty normal day. I had a lot of people ask me why I brought my big SLR to work since I'm not a shooter. I did get lots of complements on my JoTotes camera bag though!
