1 Year Anniversary
One Second Everyday for the First Year of Marriage
We filmed our lives for one second everyday for the first year of our marriage. *GOT Spoiler near the end* ...just fyi This past year has been full of so many changes. Getting married was the easiest most natural one. Tougher changes were, leaving my job at Maker, moving across the country, and living so far from our family and friends. We've had highs and lows and have not tried to hide them in our seconds. This is what our last year looked liked, and ya know...we did a lot. I'm good about it and I hope to continue this project.
Our Engagement Shoot
Our Engagement shoot was done in October of 2014 at the UCLA Botanical Gardens by the wonderful Blake Green of Paige and Blake Photography. It's taken me literally years to post these here, and I explain why here.

Forgotten Photos - Bridal Shower Outfit
So many unshared photos, most from past trips or wedding related. Why did I never share them on my blog or on Facebook? I think most of the time I was just waiting for that right moment that never came, or perhaps they were from moments and events too important to just toss up online. Regardless my initial hesitations I want to make them public now. The point of this blog is a digital scrapbook of my life, so why leave out the most important moments?
what was that show?
The Transatlantic Tour
Tuesday, May 3rd I worked the merch table at the DC stop of The Transatlantic Tour. I was nice since the last time I got to see some YouTube musicians live was Playlist Live, and I tend to like the smaller venue shows anyways. The performers were Rusty Clanton, Tessa Violet, Dodie Clark, and Jon Cozart. I had such a great time helping out and getting to see the show (which I may not have otherwise since it was ticket lottery) Working their merch booth brought me back to being the designated merch girl for The Long Holidays, good times. Be sure to check the bottom of this post for the presents I made for the musicians. (hint: they're buttons!)
New York City, April 2016
Jim and I started our journey on Thursday night. We drove together the 4 hours it takes from Maryland to NYC (our least favorite part is the tolls.) We got to stay with our lovely friends Tessa and Geoff in their apartment in Brooklyn. Our friend Vince few in from LA for the weekend as well. The evening was great catching up with friends, most of whom we hadn’t seen since our wedding last May.
I saw Hamilton!
I got to see Hamilton at the Richard Rogers Theater on April 30th, 2016. I can't begin to explain how amazing the experience was. It was worth the expensive tickets and I am so grateful to get to see (most of) the original cast before it wins the Tony ('cause of course it's gonna win) Full NYC trip post and photos coming soon!
