SoCal Cats Fan Meetup 1

Remember the makeup post I made last week where I said there was more to the story then me in public with Cats makeup on? Well it was for a fan meetup! My costumes were pretty old so I didn't dress up all the way, but my friends did!
I remember getting ready in this hotel room and meeting these people for the first time after being friends online for years. It was a very weird but also very amazing experience. We used to do these Cats makeup video chats (long before Skype) so it did not really feel like a 'first' meeting. Katie is Bombalurina, Egle is Mr. Mistoffelees, Valerie is Victoria, Peter is The Rum Tum Tugger, and I'm in Jemima makeup.

We ended up planning our meetup the on Memorial Day weekend at the Hermosa Beach Pier where a Fiesta was going on. Oh boy did we get some strange strange looks. We decided to head to the park quickly afterwords for more photos and fun (and away from drunk creeps on the pier.)  

I have video of the event but it's combined with the second meetup we did, so you'll just have to wait.  

Oh yeah, and we wound up in the newspaper...odd. Overall it was a great day, I miss my Jellicle friends! Thanks so much for reading! Meow! More photos HERE!

Feminist and Halloween Buttons!

New buttons! I love making buttons and now there are 5 new designs in my shop! I sat down with my friend Kristen a while ago and we came up with saying we'd want to have on buttons. Well, I finally made them.

5 Minute Jemima

This is a simple Jemima makeup, from May of 2010, done in about 5 minutes in a hotel room with a bunch of strangers that I met on the internet. Yes, we were all dressed like cats. That's all I'm going to say for now. Be sure to come back next week for the full explanation and many more photos...

The Day We Were Engaged - Japan Day 6

February 8th, or second and first full day in Kyoto. I've told the story before, so I'll keep this short and let you look at the photos. Most of the day was spent hiking through the 1,000 Torii gates at the Fushimi Inari Shrine. Afterwords we ate some hot noodles and then later that evening we bought my 500yen ring and had a some Japanese whiskey to toast to our new future together.

Tour V Pouncival

I really like this cute Pouncival makeup design from the 5th US tour. I did it in April of 2010. At the time I did this makeup I had seen that tour 3 times, twice in March 2010 and once December 2008. The makeup is water-based, Snazaroo brand.
